Deja Vu has clubs all over the world. It is the largest strip club chain in the world. I don't understand why they are so weak with fighting against the ccv? Also I was wondering if you think we'll ever see Deja Vu available on the stock market? I know Rick's Cabaret, VCGH, and Playboy are available.
Phil Burress of CCV is in his third marriage. By his own admission, he didn't want to spend time with his own children because all he ever wanted to do was jack off to porn 24/7. Now this "pillar of society" wants to blame others for his own degrading behavior and tell other adult citizens how to live.
Sadly, it seems like he has the sympathetic ears of county officials.
The place was raided by the police Friday night (July 6, 2001). God, what a waste of money. There were no arrests and 3 citations for possesion of minor amounts of pot. Just harassment.
Casual contact is a handshake, hug, and I believe you can touch the girls back, legs, and arms as long as she is not giving you a nude dance. If the girl is telling you different, keep in mind that may be her personal preference to not be touched at all during the dance. The rules are a little confusing, but the staff and dancers will help as best they can to clarify.
The rules for contact are confusing. One dancer said I had to sit on my hands during the whole dance...another one said I could touch her legs/butt but not her boobs...the law is pretty vague on "sexual" contact.
Yes the new dances are very different but we are still doing the same thing we always did- seduce men. The naked dances are not as fun as they used to be, but thats the law now and until that changes we have to put up with the no touching part. Because of some of the "friendlier" guests a lot of us are relieved... lol As far as the clothed dances, I think that they are more fun! Adding more mystery to the sensual nature of the dances. Before you decide that everything to offer isn't up to par anymore, really try out a lot of the girls, some of them are so good at luring you into the moment that you may not notice that they aren't naked.... Just my thoughts .
If I can see the dancer on stage and she is five feet away, why would anyone want to pay $20.....again, just to see her five feet away?
Maybe ballet is a good idea for the dancer(s) posting here. You will get paid and clapped for, and best of all, the audience will be a minimum of 200 feet away from you.
You remind me of a lady who advertises completely nude massages on Craigslist for $150 per hour(sometimes under the adult category). Then she says absolutely nothing sexual is to be expected or asked for. I guess she has the right to be treated as a legitimate masseuse, but she has to understand if men get confused about the ground rules.

New Rules: Full nude, no contact (even casual) before midnight. Dances are $20 VIP's $150. After midnight, pasties and G strings are worn, casual contact permitted. Dances $15, VIP's $100. Prices do not reflect daily specials.

At strip clubs they report income from dances but the dancers usually will under report their income from cash tips from customers. Just a fact of the way it works in the service industry. Not picking on Deja Vu but pretty much all strip clubs or places with cash tips.
A. Youre right, the CCV dosent get tax money. However, it dosent pay them either, its a 401c3. A politically imbeded, morally fuled, tax free 401c3. Sounds fair.
B. In an perfect system, the legislators are voted in to do whats best for the state. Not to do what is best for their political careers, which is 100% of what is wrong this this State and Countrys government right now. The people who voted for this were threatened by the CCV with the loss of votes from the moral right.
C. There has never been and never will be an employee getting paid under the table here. Last year, between sales tax, state income, federal income, payroll, and property taxes this club paid just shy of $500k.

I am actually a very nice person that chooses not to associate with any person based on our differing lifestyle choices. As a patron of this relaxing establishment , I Honestly couldn't care less how much they pay in property taxes etc , i'm not their account and neither are you , maybe they but other funds elsewhere in the community ? maybe that was the agreed upon price ? That is a weak argument. Do you know how much your business pays in taxes? I do. Last year, $15, 877.80 in property taxes. That isn't that much. Also, since most of your staff works under the table you're not contributing fairly to federal & state income tax. Your company does not have to pay into it, nor do your people claim their income properly.

As far as past raids, Im sorry but I am done discussing it. People are going to believe what they want to believe. Like I stated before, no customer has ever been arrested at our location during either raid. That said, if you dont feel safe, then dont come in, nobody will be upset with you for looking after your self. However this is the goal of the CCV, using fear, demagoguery and lies to run adult businesses out of Ohio. Its only another couple million in tax revenue lost, no big deal.....

There's been a bit of arguing and even name calling in this forum lately. People are stressed. We need to remember the real enemy is Phil Burress and the other bigots at CCV who want to dictate to adult citizens how they should live their lives.
I want to show my support to D.V. and extend my middle finger to CCV by coming in soon with a pocket full of 20s to buy some dances. I don't know if Nadia is a dancer or some other employee, but she seems really classy and cool. I'd like a dance and spend a little time with her if that's what she does.
But I don't recall a customer being charged but if you have a report I not seen , please post it , i pay the the covers and buy the dances also so I'm a paying customer , and this recent waste of taxpayers money won't divert me from going back.
Actually, it does affect me when I'm spending money on cover charges & dances. Also, if people are getting arrested now, it does effect me. How are customers supposed to feel safe? Is it so hard for the club & staff to abide by the law? If there is problem with the law, go through the proper channels to amend it. I don't like the speed limit, but if I break that law then I get a ticket. Pretty simple to understand.
A manager avoided charges by moving. Hmm, why didn't OJ Simpson, Charles Manson, or Jeffrey Dahmer just move. What a loophole. You can move & not get charged. I hope that is not a manager posting that. I googled that raid & police reports, as well as Lexis/Nexis. 1 waitress was arrested for misdemeanor of mary jane. That was all. FACT
I thought about coming here but after reading the recent reviews on this place and reading the dancer's comment calling a customer a desperate loser I am going to avoid this place. Whoever the dancer was that called the customer desperate needs to get a life herself.

I'm wondering if the dancer wears a thong and pastie, are they allowed to sit on your lap a little more? Are you allowed to touch them as long as you stay away the obvious restricted areas? That's how it was at some clubs I've been to, and the dances were awesome!
Just as FYI, columbus clubs have been stuck with wearing pasties for over a year now and they ruin the experience. Several clubs have gone out of business or raised prices because decline in business. It's crazy how just 50 minutes north of Deja Vu Cincy are clubs in West Carrollton, Washington Twp, and Dayton that violate the rules every night yet never get in trouble. They are definitely unfair to Deja Vu, maybe they think since Deja Vu is a chain so they can fine them and get them to actually pay up unlike the other small clubs.
The club is still open normal hours, but the girls where pasties and thongs after midnight...if you want a nude dance before midnight then no the girls will not come into contact with you at all. If they leave on their thongs and pasties (or tops) then the dance is as normal.
so since the raid, what are the new rules.i have not been to the club in about a year.i heard that now, the six foot rule is now in affect, the club must shut down at midnight, the dancers must stay on the pole during a couch dance, and the dancers must wear pasties around their nipples, and their panties must never past thier ankles.any truth to any of these?

And speaking of the past, you are correct, no managers got arrested, but one had to leave town to avoid charges after his apartment got raided. This new (2 year old) law is the only reason any managers and/or dancers currently face any charges at all. Its as if they said, ice cream causes negitive secondary effects, its now illegal to sell ice cream. Then they let all the factories and shops operate business as usual for two years. Then raided them and charged everyone with illegaly selling ice cream in an ice cream parlor.
Your humble opinion? I'm guessing you're not a lawyer & clearly your opinions & behaviors have gotten you & others arrested, so why should customers feel safe by trusting your impaired judgement. Also, I checked & there were no managers arrested during the last raid, including you. Not good

As to the raid, theres not much I can say because everything is on going. What I can say is that in niether raid, this one or one 10 years ago, did a customer get arrested/charged. In my humble opinion, customers are not their concern.

Was here Friday...ummm there was a girl by the name of Mia...she had an overly huge ass and a bad attitude....I am so tired of being a paying customer at these places but yet the girls are rude..she seems to have this "Im God's gift" attitude about her..and altho she is a decent looking girl (typical blonde with big boobs) she is certainly no gift..take a lesson from me-be nice or atleast pretend and just maybe I will get a dance....geesh! I did enjoy some of the other dancers tho...
there had to be more to it than that. Nude after midnight was just one of the reasons it was raided. It was also raided for stuff like when a dancer ran her hand through the guy's hair and the guy was an undercover cop. Also the girl on girl shower shows were too raunchy for police liking. This club has been on a long downhill trend and will eventually close up. Notice how Deja Vu is the ONLY strip club in Cincy area? Deja Vu would be better moving their operations to Dayton or even Columbus where law enforcement is less strict.
