City tried to shut down strip club due to alleged prostitution and violence on premises

Touch gentlemen's club seems to be living up to its name apparently, as the city moves to shut down the Staten Island Club.

The club located in Travis had been under three undercover investigations since may for alleged acts of prostitution on the property, according to a nuisance- abatement filed in the supreme court Monday.

The city is attempting to close the club for a year plus enforcing a hefty $1,000.00 fine for each day the club ""intentionally conducted, maintained or permitted the public nuisance," according to the court filing.

Undercover operations done by officers on the site let to countiuing arrests - they were discribed in the lawsuit as the following :

In May, a female on the premises agreed to have sex with a male undercover officer in exchange for $200.

On June 1, a male patron agreed to oral sex from a female undercover officer, in exchage for $20.

On June 17, a female on the premises agreed to sex with a male undercover officer in exchange for $1,500.

The lawsuit states that the individuals arrested in the incidents still have access to the business therefor the opportunity for the illegal activity to continue is still there.
