The new Fantasy Island, under new management and completely remodeled inside, is a welcome upgrade and readdition to the Westside. Security is friendly and professional. Music is good, and not to loud. Decor is classy, with enough TVs to be a sports bar. Chef Robert has created a nice menu that is filled with flavor. Well seasoned, decent portions, and good presentation. There are lunch specials, so it's a good place to go for lunch. The highlight of the place is the daytime bartender, Kyoko. Talented, affable, and adorable, Kyoko serves up craft cocktails with a bubbly personality, and a smile. She makes everyone feel welcome, and has a growing fan club that visits her regularly. Make sure you stop by for lunch and drink. You won't regret it.
I was pretty bummed when Fantasy Island closed down. I know it doesn't sound like the ideal hang-out spot for a chick, but I met so many cool people there and became really good friends with the regulars. HOWEVER...FEAR NOT MY FRIENDS! FANTASY ISLAND HAS REOPENED. If you don't know, now you know! They have new owners that have revamped the place up. I mean its not that dingy, old, The Shining-esque look (that strangely brings me much nostalgia). The lighting is easy on the eyes and it has really turned into this elegant lounge.Lets not get started on the new food menu. Good bye bar peanuts! I had the Ahi $14. I was impressed with the quality of the tuna and the ponzu sauce was to die for. I also had the Cali Power Crunch Salad, only $10 for a very decent portion of refreshing, healthy yumminess in my mouth!I didn't want to get too full because the drinks are on a whole other level! First off, make sure to see ya girl, Desi!!! You can't miss her, she's an extremely lovely being and her energy will suck you right in if her gorgeous smile hasn't already. Also, she's a returnee from the original Fantasy Island. So she's got some bartending skills!!! Not only is she truly amazing, she's almost motherly, making sure everyone is taken care off. I swear she never misses a beat. But lets talk about the art she makes with these drinks. My favorite thus far, Boss Hogg Old Fashioned. Do you know the reference? Lets see how smart you all really are. (kudos if you get it) This bad boy consists of Hudson Maple infused Bourbon with maple syrup and bitters garnished with orange zest and side of maple bacon! So killer and perfect for fall. Not your style? She can serve up anything, just tell her what you're in the mood for. She's really good at creating new things and remaking old ones with her style. You can always go for Bottle service if you've got your crew with you. But make sure to stop by during Happy Hour. $5 drinks, $6 draft beers, $9 cocktails Give it a try, I know you want to :)
So glad they re-opened!! Excellent food and the service? My experience was amazing especially the service I received from the bartender Desiree! So classy and friendly. Great environment!! Laura
I came here last night with a few friends out of curiosity. I thought it was closed down but since I pass by everyday on my way to work, I could tell there was work being done on it so I was excited to find out it was finally open. Wow, is the only word I can use to describe it. I'd been a few times before it closed down and to be honest it was a dump. It's clean, upscale and the food was amazing! My favorite were the sliders. I also love the fact that they have a bartender that makes specialty cocktails. The ladies were beautiful too. My guy friend had two lap dances and he seemed pretty happy to me. The music was good and it wasn't filled with a bunch of douche bags either, which is prefect for me. I'll definitely be coming back.
Food prices are good, girls are pretty decent. Not bad for a Monday night. It's WAY TOO BRIGHT in there though! Customer service was great, though, & despite one girl coppin a small attitude because she couldn't sell a lap dance (the ugly lights were on!), all the other girls were cool. For the wanna be ballers & for the guys who have a little spare change during this economic crisis, this place is a good value with good girls.
Update . I believe they are closing this place down for new looks... New owner and all that. It's ok. Girls are cute though, but not too many. They even have a girl that does really good messages , two for 30.I personally like the variety of girls. The music is whatever. It depends on every girl that goes on a stage. Foood..is ok. Popcorn shrimps r alright and chicken quesedia ( i know, wrong spelling)They have every hour two for ones (20) and they give up some weird stuff, like shirts, cups, toys, lighters....There is a VIP room. 250 half hour. And u gotta buy a bottle of champagne (its the cheapest one - 50$, i think Piper Sonoma).A looot of russians and ukrainians. Good thing, is that bartenders always make drinks very strong. Really strong, trust me. If its jack n coke, its JACK n coke .Entrance is 5 $ and after 10 or 11 (not sure ) - 10$.The light in there is REALLY to bright. Seriously, whatsup with that?!Oh yeah, and some girls (usually hot ones) will charge you 30$ A dance if you want to touch her. Fair enough.Oh and btw, if you forgot to take cash with you, you shouldnt have ) It will cost you 12% out of anything you take out. Yep. And you gotta leave your damn fingerprint. O_oThats all i can remember.
I have now gone to this place a handful of times, and been unimpressed other than one night. so it is appropraite with my rating. 1 out of 5 is NOT GOOD. Twice now I have also had problems with the serving staff trying to charge my tab twice; and once trying to add extra round of drinks on it. shady shady shady. what did ole GW Bush say fool me once, shame on me...fool me twice shame on yeah I dont know it either. Either way this place is lame. girls arent all that. and you have to pay just to get in. take your 5 bucks down the street to Plan B. at least the girls are attractive and the servers dont f* up your orders or be shady and charge you twice for the same tab and try and sign a tip too! come on now man!
Ladies for Lunch! In a move that might as well have been decided over a game of ro-sham-bo, my co-workers and I decided to do some lunch-timing over at Fantasy Island. We're a westside company located just a few miles from the joint so we've definitely driven by once or twice before we noticed the "Lunch Special" sign outside. Now, I'm not a connoisseur of nude (or almost) nude ladies nor have I even been inside a strip club since that one time in college when a friend of mind entered the amateur contest and recruited me to join her cheering section. (She won.) So arriving at this place, I was a tad wet behind the ears. First question:What's with the pirate ship-like lookout tower? Yeah the place looks kinda like a pirate ship from the outside. Or something straight outta Disneyland. In fact, there are a few Disney-feeling elements including a turnstile guarded entry. But the most Disney of all was the muted Hannah Montana episode playing on the TV when we got there. Second question:What's with the Disney Channel on mute?"Oh really? It was on the Disney Channel?? I hadn't noticed..." replied the female bartender when asked. One would only suffice to guess that SOMETHING had to keep the (super spase) clientele occupied before showtime.... Ick.Third Question:When's the show supposed to start??Okay, when you show up to a strip club at noon for lunch, chances are the show hasn't quite started. Yeah, I know. Disappointment. But it does give you a moment to look over the menu and order a round at the bar. And then it gives you a few more moments to really take in the scenery: the 'talent' arriving for their afternoon shifts to chat up the one or two barflys that may or may not have been left over from the previous night. The ladies began their dance for cash nearing the 1 o'clock hour. By the time, we had put away our lunches. I had the Turkey Sandwich while others in my group tried the Burgers and the Buffalo Wings and the... Yeah, like you really care about the food. I'll just keep it simple: you want a good lunch? Don't go to a strip club. My biggest surprise of the day came in the form of "wow, the dancers of the Fantasy Island afternoon shift are not at all terrible." Multi-ethnic, multi-shaped, a refreshing blend of personalities and pole skills. It was kinda like "It's A Small World" got a Flirty Girl makeover. And personally, I enjoyed the concept of the 'bikini bar'. I would have a hard time imagining how I would be able to keep my lunch down if the bikinis had come off. Cute dancers or not, there's gotta be something unhygienic about eating food in the presence of exposed genitalia. I'm just sayin...
I was in Thursday and there was a new girl I'd never seen before. I'm pretty sure her name was Raven: black hair, black teddy, black stockings and garter belt. She spent the entire night with one group of guys at the bar. Is she a regular? Anyone know what nights she works or if she gives a good dance?
What is up with the no liquor???? does anyone know if carrie ann works elsewhere?
This club is by far one of my favorites in LA! the girls are friendly and fun, and give amazing dances! I went there in a big group for my friend Mike's bachelor party, and we all ended up in the "VIP Room" had some champagne, amazingly sexy dances and good times! It was definitely worth it. You can definitely count on me giving a few repeat visits ;)
Lucky You suck no matter where you dance, Guy turn it down even if its free

Alright, if there's one thing I hate, it's injustice. And the previous review really does not do this place justice.I have nothing but good things to say about The Island: it has a full bar, a tremendous number of girls, and the quality is always at least good-to-excellent. Sure, I've seen some less-than-stellar chicks there before but few and far between. In general, the girls are all reasonably attractive. Also, fyi, they have a website that lets you print free passes to get in. Rad.
Not sure what this guy is talking about, but I've been there twice, and both times I had an amazing time. If you are nice to the girls, and not just monetarily, they'll make you have a blast, and will give you more than just a lousy lap dance. If you're a loser, it doesn't matter whether you're with a date, your girlfriend, or a dancer. Treat the girls as what they are, nice, needy, fun women.

Dancer asked for a $10 bump for "extras"...it was worth it! Girls weren't dancing, just mingling. Songs were short!
Dropped by on a Wed and it was a mixed bag. Dances were 2 for 1 at the top of every hours. The mileage was pretty good and there were some 8+ in the room. Drinks are cheap until 7pm
went there last saturday, the place was not happening only five dancers and non of them pretty. what a bad time, do not go !!!!!
