I am looking for attorneys who specialize in discrimination lawsuits.. If you happen to specialize in the college admissions sector.. that would be great.. I have been reading an article about college admissions from an article on the Jewish Telegraph that references a NY Times study. Here is a direct quote:
“According to a survey of this year’s admission policies at the Ivy League institutions, published today by The New York Times, about 40 percent of the students at Columbia and the University of Pennsylvania are now Jewish. At Yale, Harvard and Cornell, the Jewish students are now thought to number between 20 and 25 percent, while between 13 and 20 percent of the students at Dartmouth, Princeton and Brown are believed to be Jewish.”
Since the US jewish population only accounts for 2.5% of the population and only .5% of the population worldwide, I think there is a significant amount of discrimination going on at these universities. Even Stanford accept 10% which is 4x higher than the population. Upenn and Columbia are the largest violators with a student base at 40% Jewish which is 16x their rate of demographic representation in the US and 80x their populations rate worldwide. Harvard, Yale, Cornell, Dartmouth, Princeton and Brown follow with from 25% down to 13%..
I think there is a significant opportunity here to prove blatant discrimination. I do not believe it is legal for a college to discriminate based on race or religion. This is open to anyone who would like to pursue this course of action. Think about it.
