Damariea R. Harris has been apprehended following the tragic incident involving the murder of Morieo Camel-Harris outside a Southeast Portland strip club on April 1st. Portland police disclosed that the 31-year-old suspect was arrested in Vancouver, Washington. The shooting, which resulted in the death of Morieo Camel-Harris and the injury of another individual, occurred outside The Venue Gentlemen’s Club on Southeast Stark Street.
Harris is now in custody at the Clark County Jail due to outstanding warrants related to the incident. These warrants include charges of second-degree murder with a firearm, second-degree attempted murder with a firearm, first-degree assault with a firearm, two counts of unlawful use of a weapon, and felon in possession of a firearm.
The authorities are currently in the process of extraditing Harris to Multnomah County to face further legal proceedings.
